Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has expressed “sorrow” after firing and hitting an “Egyptian post adjacent to the border in the area of Kerem Shalom”.

The IDF said, “the incident is being investigated and the details are under review.”
The fighting between Hamas and Israel continues with Israel carrying out retaliatory actions in Gaza.
The fighting started after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023, killing hundreds of Israelis and taking several others hostage.
According to IDF: “A short while ago, an IDF tank accidentally fired and hit an Egyptian post adjacent to the border in the area of Kerem Shalom. The incident is being investigated and the details are under review.
“The IDF expresses sorrow regarding the incident.”
