She is to “show solidarity with the Israeli people” as they fight Hamas to defend their country.
The fighting between Hamas and Israel was caused by a surprise attack by Hamas on Israel in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023, killing hundreds of Israelis and taking several others hostage.
Governor Hochul said: “I’ve just touched down in Tel Aviv.
“New York and Israel share a special bond, and I’m proud to be here to show our solidarity with the Israeli people following Hamas’s abhorrent acts of terror.”
The United States (US) President, Joe Biden, also in Israel made his message clear to Israelis, which says, “you are not alone” in your fighting against Hamas to defend your country.
America’s support for Israel is “rock solid”, the US President assured.
