Israel imposed a complete siege over Gaza which will prevent access to clean water, fuel, electricity, food, medicine as well as other necessities.
The siege on Gaza imposed by Israel was as a result of the fighting between Hamas and Israel which started after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing hundreds of Israelis and several others taken hostage on Saturday 7 October, 2023.
Several hospitals have shut down in Gaza following lack of fuel.
The French President described the situation in Gaza as “critical”.
President Macron said: “The situation of hospitals in Gaza is critical. Access to electricity must be restored urgently.
“I decided on new funding for the Jordanian hospital in Gaza and the deployment of a ship from our National Navy and planes to deliver humanitarian aid.”
