United States (US) President, Joe Biden, said, the fighting between Palestinian militants known as Hamas and Israel requires a “two-state solution”, adding “we cannot give up on it”.

The fighting between Hamas and Israel started on Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing hundreds of Israelis and taking several others hostage.
President Biden visited Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, in Israel on Wednesday 18 October, 2023 and assured him America will not stop supporting Israel as it defends itself against Hamas.
The US President also assured, PM Netanyahu, “freedom will win not terrorists.”
He added, “Israelis and Palestinians equally deserve to live in peace.”
President Biden said: “As hard as it is, we cannot give up on peace. We cannot give up on a two-state solution.
“Israelis and Palestinians equally deserve to live in safety, dignity, and peace.”
