G20 Summit: ‘Nigeria is eager to collaborate with India and the rest of the world’ – President Tinubu

Nigeria’s President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has said, “Nigeria is eager to collaborate with India and the rest of the world”.

President Tinubu made the statement following the inclusion of the African Union (AU) as a “permanent member” of the G20.

The G20 Summit is currently ongoing in the city of New Delhi, India. It kicked off on Saturday 9 September, 2023 and will end on Sunday 10 September, 2023.

Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, earlier expressed his joy as he received the African Union (AU) as a “permanent member” of the G20.

Modi said: “India is elated to welcome @_AfricanUnion as a permanent member of the G20. Together, let us foster global unity and progress. Let us also do whatever we can for the development of the Global South”

President Tinubu quoted PM Modi’s tweet and commented: “Prime Minister 

@narendramodi, the inclusion of 

@_AfricanUnion as a permanent G20 member is a pivotal moment for unity and progress. 


“Nigeria is eager to collaborate with India and the rest of the world for the enhancement of the Global South.”
