Nigeria national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, has sent a congratulatory message to Nigeria’s under 18 girls handball team after they clinched the Trophy Africa Continental Phase on Sunday 13 August, 2023.

Nigeria defeated Guinea 33-18 to emerge champions of Africa, D’Tigress disclosed.
According to D’Tigress: “Nigeria’s under 18 girls handball team today defeated Guinea to win the @ihf_info Trophy Africa Continental Phase.
“The girls defeated Guinea 33-18 to emerge champions of Africa and qualify for the Intercontinental phase.
“Congratulations girls. We are proud of you.”
D’Tigress have also emerged Champions of Africa recently in basketball, winning the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket 2023.
The Nigeria national women’s basketball team discomfited Senegal 84-74 in the final to clinch the trophy in Rwanda and emerge the new Champions of Africa in basketball.
