Tuchel said, “We are working on it intensely.”

On the squad, Tuchel said: “@esmuellert_ and Choupo completed three training sessions with the team. They have worked hard and are currently pain-free. If that continues, then they could be options for the matchday squad.

“Our aims are clear: we want to win the league and the cup and enjoy a deep run in the Champions League. This will be a good test. We hope that we will be able to transfer the energy that we’re seeing in training right now to the game tomorrow.”

On the Supercup clash between Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, Tuchel said: “The Supercup is significant in that it can give you an extra push. I’m picking up a very positive energy from the team. Our goal is to play well and take the next step. We really want to win, but also know that Leipzig want the same thing.”

On the potential signing of Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur: “We are working on it intensely, that much I can confirm. As of right now, no agreement has been reached, and when no agreement has been reached, then a coach will not comment on it, because it is not his player.”
