Chelsea made light work of newly promoted Luton Town, beating them 3-0 in the Premier League match at Stamford Bridge on Friday 25 August, 2023.
English forward, Sterling, netted the first two goals of the encounter for the hosts in the 17th and 68th minutes, and Nicolas Jackson sealed victory in the 75th minute, perfectly converting Sterling’s assist
It was Mauricio Pochettino’s first Premier League win as Chelsea new head coach.

In his post-match comments, Sterling told Sky Sports: “It’s a target I had to set myself [being Chelsea’s top scorer this season] – it’s something I know I can do”.
Luton Town are still in search of their first Premier League point since promotion from Championship.
