Spanish La Liga giants, Barcelona, has sent congratulatory message to Argentina forward, Lionel Messi, after winning the Leagues Cup 2023 in the United States (US).

Messi and Inter Miami clinched the League Cup 2023 on Sunday 20 August, 2023 on penalties.
Nashville FC held Inter Miami all the way into a penalty shootout where they fell to Messi and his team.

In a final befitting what has been an exciting and thrilling 2023 Leagues Cup campaign, Inter Miami took down Nashville SC on penalties and captured their first-ever trophy. Lionel Messi won his 44th career trophy, becoming the most successful soccer player of all-time.
Argentine forward, Lionel Messi, has now won “44 trophies”, this makes him the “most decorated footballer of all time”, Barcelona said.
Barcelona said: “Congrats to Leo Messi for becoming the joint most decorated footballer of all time!
