Joshua V Helenius: British boxer records first knockout in almost three years

The British pro heavyweight boxer clinched his first beautiful victory over his Finnish opponent with one punch in the seventh (7th) round.
The Finnish pro heavyweight boxer had held Joshua all through the first half of the fight, until the seventh round when a heavy punch landed on his jaw which saw him fall straight on the canvas.

The win – Joshua’s first stoppage victory in two-and-a-half years – sets up a blockbuster fight with American Deontay Wilder in January.

In his post-fight comments, Joshua told BBC Radio 5 live: “It’s a fickle sport, you’ve got to be real about this industry and not get caught up. I’ve done my job tonight.

“My back’s gone, is there a doctor in here? I want to carry this heavyweight division to the top.”
