England defeated Nigeria in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 round of 16 in a penalty shootout 4-2 after 120 minutes without a goal.
The Lionesses have reached the quarter finals of the tournament following their triumph over the Super Falcons on Monday 7 August, 2023 at the Suncorp Stadium in Milton, Australia.
Atiku wrote: “We may have lost to England in a penalty shootout, but the @NGSuper_Falcons have every reason to hold their heads high. I still have no regrets about skipping my breakfast for this game.”
