England reached the semi finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 after clinching a 2-1 triumph over Colombia at Stadium Australia on Saturday 12 August, 2023.

The South Americans took the lead through Santos in the 44th minute, however, the Lionesses fought back and levelled in the 6th minute (45+6′) additional time through Lauren Hemp.

England got the second in the 63rd minute through Alessia Russo.

This outcome moves England to the semi finals for a clash against Co-hosts, Australia, who knocked out France 7-6 on penalties after playing 120 minutes without a goal.
