FIBA Women’s Afrobasket 2023: ‘Your victory radiates with Nigerian spirit’ – Atiku

2023 Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has sent his congratulatory message to D’Tigress, Nigeria national women’s basketball team after their beautiful achievement in Rwanda.

D’Tigress defeated Senegal 84-74 to win the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket 2023 hosted in Rwanda, on Sunday 6 August, 2023.

The former Vice President of Nigeria said, D’Tigress victory “radiates with Nigerian spirit and grit”.

Atiku wrote: “Thrilled at our national women’s basketball team, @DtigressNG, dominating the Afrobasket 2023 championship! Your victory, making us the second African nation to win this prestigious title four times consecutively, radiates with Nigerian spirit and grit.”
