Mikel Arteta’s side clinched a 4-1 victory over Pep Guardiola’s side on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation.
Cole Palmer scored for the Citizens in the 77th minute, however, the Gunners levelled in the 11th minute of additional time through Leandro Trossard before the penalties.
Manchester City are the current Premier League Kings. The Citizens clinched a treble in the 2022/23 season, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and the Uefa Champions League.
In his post-match comments, Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta, said: “I’m extremely happy, proud and relieved at the same time, because it doesn’t get any better than winning at Wembley in front of your fans and playing the best team in the world.
“We are here to win trophies. It’s a joy to see so many happy and proud people, and the connection with our supporters in Wembley feels very different.”
Vieira said: “It feels great. It’s my first trophy for this club, and I’m very happy to win this trophy.”
