The South Americans took the lead through Catalina Usme in the 30th minute from the penalty spot, and 18-year old Linda Caicedo doubled the lead nine minutes later.

South Korea made history in the FIFA Women’s World Cup after featuring the youngest player ever in the tournament’s history – Casey Phair, 16 years and 26 days.

Phair was introduced into the encounter in the 77th minute.

According to the FIFA Women’s World Cup: “@TheKFA’s Casey Phair is the youngest ever player to make a #FIFAWWC appearance (16 years 26 days).”
