The triumph ended West Ham’s 43-year wait for a major trophy with Jarrod Bowen’s 90th minute goal sealing victory for the Hammers.
The encounter looked like it was heading straight into extra-time with Said Benrahma’s 62nd minute penalty being struck out by Giacomo Bonaventura’s 67th minute beautifully taken effort.
The outcome has sealed a spot for West Ham United in the Uefa Europa League next season.
