Fani-Kayode said: “We had the honor and privilege of spending the evening and paying homage to my King and one of our nation’s most reverred traditional rulers and Royal Fathers, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife yesterday.
“In accordance with our customs and tradition I took the opportunity to present my older sister’s daughter and my neice Nana Akuffo-Addo before him in order to formally intimate him of her intention to get married in Accra, Ghana at the end of this year.
“Kabiyesi expressed his joy about her intentions and assured her that
the whole of Ile-Ife and Yorubaland stands with her and that we are all very proud of her and her mother, Sister Remi (Jnr.).
“Thank you Kabiyesi for grantng us such a warm reception and for showing such love and kindness to your daughter Nana.
“After leaving the Ooni we also had the honor and privilege of paying a courtesy call on another of our most reverred Royal Father’s and traditional rulers and the leader of the Muslim community in Nigeria, His Eminence, Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto.
“His Eminence showed us much love and kindness and we continue to pray for him and thank God for his life.
“Nana left for Lagos this morning to see other members of our family before she returns to Accra to be with her mother.
“May God lead, guide, protect and bless her and may He watch over her for good and not for evil.
“We love you my darling and thanks for spending the last two days with us in Abuja and Nigeria after not seeing you for so many years.”
