Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been sworn-in as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The former Governor of Lagos State was inaugurated as the sixteenth (16th) President of Nigeria on Monday 29 May, 2023 at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, Nigeria’s Chief Justice, administered the oath of office to Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima.
Nigeria’s new President, Tinubu, swore: “I, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, do solemnly swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria that I will preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. So, help me, God.”
At the oath-taking ceremony, Muhammadu Buhari; Goodluck Jonathan; Tinubu’s wife, Oluremi Tinubu; Shettima’s wife, Nana; Buhari’s wife, Aisha Buhari; alongside other top figures were present.
