Sudan Unrest: ‘Nigerian students expected to touch down at 2340hrs tonight’ – NIDCOM

They are being airlifted by NAF C 130 at the Aswan Airport en route Abuja, Nigeria.

Nigerian students are being evacuated from Sudan to Egypt following serious unrest

First batch have been successfully evacuated. Another twenty-seven (27) buses will convey another batch of Nigerian citizens to be evacuated from war-torn Sudan.

Sudan is currently experiencing heavy fighting between the Army of Sudan and the paramilitary force which has resulted to the death of hundreds with several others left with diverse degrees of injury.

NIDCOM disclosed: “Nigeria students were airlifted by NAF C130 at Aswan Airport en route Abuja Nigeria and is expected to touch down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja by 2340hrs tonight.”
