Sudan Unrest: ‘Another flight from Port Sudan to arrive today’ – NIDCOM

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has revealed, another flight from Port Sudan is on its way home.

Second batch of Nigerian citizens (evacuees) arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Friday 5 May, 2023 around 3pm. The evacuees were moved to the Aswan Border, Egypt following serious unrest in Sudan caused by heavy fighting between the Army of Sudan and the paramilitary force

The flight is expected to arrive Abuja around 2pm Nigerian time, as disclosed by NIDCOM.

In its evacuation update, NIDCOM disclosed, “Another flight from Port Sudan heading home.


“The flight is expected to arrive in  Abuja around 1:30 pm to 2 pm Nigerian time. The Nigerian Ambassador addressed them before departure.


“Journey mercies.”
