Sudan Unrest: Another batch of Nigerian evacuees land in Abuja – NIDCOM

Photos 👇 The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has revealed, another batch of evacuees has landed in Abuja at 1:45pm today, Saturday 6 May, 2023.

The batch consists of a total of 131 Nigerians nationals (evacuees) – 124 adults and 7 infants.

They departed Port Sudan International Airport and landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja via Tarco Airline.

Due to severe unrest in Sudan, foreign nationals are fleeing the country to safer places as fighting between the Army of Sudan and the paramilitary force continues with the failure of ceasefire severally.

The fighting has resulted to the death of hundreds and several others left with various degrees of injury.

In its latest evacuation update, NIDCOM said: “Another batch of Evacuees: 131 Nigerian nationals (Evacuees) 124 Adults, 7 Infants that departed Port Sudan International Airport landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at 1:45 pm via Tarco Airline B737-300 Aircraft today Saturday, 6th May, 2023.”
