The pre-hearing of the Labour Party (LP) Petition against Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is expected to take place.

Barr. Julius Abure, Labour Party (LP) National Chairman, alongside Factional Chairman of the Party, Lamido Apapa, were also in court.

Last week, Obi and Labour Party (LP) Petition pre-hearing session was adjourned till Wednesday 17 May, 2023 by the Tribunal as requested by the Petitioners.

The Justices, on Wednesday, arrived for the commencement of today’s proceedings, however, a soft disagreement broke out between the two factions of the “Papa, Mama and Pikin” Party on which faction should be in court.

Justice Haruna Tsamani stated, if two persons are making appearance for the Party, they will be missing on record.
