Taiwo Awoniyi’s goal in the 19th minute was enough to seal victory for the hosts as well as ignite scenes of celebration for the home supporters at the final whistle.
Arsenal dominated possession, however, Mikel Arteta’s men were unable to penetrate the strong Nottingham Forest defence.
