The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has sent a congratulatory message to Ademola Adeleke on his victory over Adegboyega Oyetola at the Supreme Court on Tuesday 9 May, 2023.

The Supreme Court affirmed Ademola Adeleke as the legally elected Executive Governor of Osun State as the ‘Umbrella’ Party describes the victory as a “confirmation of the party’s popularity in Nigeria”.
Former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola had accused Ademola Adeleke and the PDP of over-voting in the 2022 Osun State Gubernatorial Election which was conducted on 16 July, 2022.
However, on Tuesday, the Supreme Court in Abuja held, that Ademola Adeleke is the duly elected Executive Governor of Osun State, putting an end to Oyetola and APC’s claims of election irregularities.
The PDP wrote: “The Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed Governor Ademola Adeleke of the @OfficialPDPNig as the winner of the July 16, 2022, Osun State Gubernatorial Election. This victory is a confirmation of our Party’s popularity in Nigeria and commitment to nation building.
“Congratulations to him, the people of Osun State and the entire PDP family.”
