This was made known via a conversation between the Governor and Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adedeji Adeleke, who is his nephew.
Davido asked, “Timeless concert in Osun this year??”, tagging his uncle, Governor Adeleke in the tweet, and the Governor responded “Done”.
Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) defeated former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Supreme Court on Tuesday 9 May, 2023.

Oyetola rejected INEC’s declaration of Adeleke as the winner of the Osun State Gubernatorial Election which was conducted on 16 July, 2022, saying there were irregularities during the exercise.
Adeleke polled 403,371 votes to emerge winner of the 2022 Osun State Guber Election, while Oyetola polled 375,027 votes.
