The Nigerian Apex Bank described the information as “fake news item circulating in the media”.
The Disclaimer signed by Isa AbdulMumim Ph.D, Ag. Director, Corporate Communications, says, the CBN wishes to “state emphatically that such speculation is unfounded and a ploy by some interests to cause panic among members of the public”.
