Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, has achieved a beautiful feat after cooking for 100 hours non-stop, in an attempt to clinch a new world record.

Popularly known as Hilda Baci, she has dominated headlines around the world ever since she commenced her cooking marathon.
Baci hopes to clinch the record title for the longest cooking marathon by an individual which is currently held by India’s Lata Tondon with a time of 87 hours, 45 minutes, 00 seconds.
The Nigerian chef started cooking on Thursday 11 May, 2023 and went on to Monday 15 May, 2023.
A statement released by Guinness World Records, “we are looking forward to receiving the evidence for our Records Management Team to review”.
According to Guinness World Record:
Officials on our records team look forward to reviewing the evidence and hope to be able to verify Hilda’s efforts as a new record very soon.
A Guinness World Records spokesperson said: “We are aware of the record attempt and are looking forward to receiving the evidence for our Records Management Team to review, before we can confirm the record is official.”
