Death of FCMB Chairman Subomi: Sanwo-Olu ‘commiserate with people of Ogun State on demise of their son’

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sent condolence message to the “entire people of Ogun State on the demise of their illustrious son”, Otunba Subomi Balogun.

Otunba Subomi Balogun was the Chairman of the FCMB Group and a “thoroughbred business magnate”, Sanwo-Olu said.

In his condolence message, Governor Sanwo-Olu wrote: “I received with utter sadness, the passing of a renowned technocrat, seasoned administrator, philanthropist, a thoroughbred business magnate, and the Chairman of the FCMB Group. Otunba Subomi Balogun.


“I therefore, on behalf of the Government and people of Lagos State, express my sincere condolences to the family, friends and associates of Otunba Subomi Balogun, as well as the management and staff of the FCMB Group.


“I also commiserate with my dear Brother, the Governor of Ogun State, H.E. Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Awujale of Ijebu Kingdom, Oba Sikiru Adetona and the entire people of Ogun State, especially the indigenes of Ijebu on the demise of their illustrious son and elder statesman.


“I pray that God grants him eternal rest. Amen.”
