Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has come out to sympathize with affected traders of the popularly phone market in the Southwestern State called “Tarmac”, at the Oke-Ilewo area of Abeokuta.

Abiodun disclosed “the unfortunate incident led to the gruesome murder of one of the traders” of the market.
The “sad experience” led to the loss of valuables as further disclosed by Governor Abiodun.
He hailed the “efforts of the anti-robbery and surveillance teams, Amotekun Corps and the traders who took immediate action” to restore peace to the area, also for “capturing one of the hoodlums”.
Governor Abiodun disclosed: “An unfortunate incident occurred on the 12th of April, which was orchestrated by armed robbers and led to the gruesome murder of one of the traders at a popular phone market known as “Tarmac” at the Oke-Ilewo area of Abeokuta.
“It is indeed a sad experience and my heart goes out to the family of the deceased trader and all the traders who lost valuables. May God give everyone the grace to bear the loss of life and property.
“I commend the efforts of the anti-robbery and surveillance teams, Amotekun Corps and the traders who took immediate action – efforts of which yielded in the capturing of one of the hoodlums – and also brought a semblance of peace to the vicinity.
“I am using this medium to reiterate that no level of criminality will be condoned in the State as my Administration has put in place, people, processes, mobility equipment and the technology to deter all criminal activities and to apprehend faulting persons or groups.
“I sympathise with all affected traders and their families once again and urge the good people to resume their usual activities.”
