There are more than three (3) million Nigerians resident in Sudan, she earlier disclosed, adding, a Nigerian is the richest man in the North African country.
There is heavy fighting in Sudan between the Army of Sudan and the paramilitary force which has led to the loss of hundreds of lives with several others left with various degrees of injury.
Nigerians have been pleading with the Federal Government to evacuate them from the war-torn Sudan, and finally, a first batch of students have been put on buses which will convey them to Egypt, where they will be airlifted to Nigeria.
In her update on the evacuation of Nigerians from Sudan, Abike Dabiri-Erewa said: “For ease of conveying the students, they were put on the buses according to their states of origin , as our excited Student doing this narration tells us here.Journey mercies.”
