He said, they “should know that their country will not abandon them”, further saying, “during the COVID-19 pandemic not a single Nigerian willing to return home was left in any country”.

In Sudan, especially the capital city, Khartoum, there is heavy fighting between the Army of Sudan and the paramilitary force which has led to the death of hundreds, with so many others left with injuries.

Ceasefire has failed severally.

Ahmad said: “During the COVID-19 pandemic not a single Nigerian willing to return home was left in any country, and recently in Ukraine the story was similar, the students and other Nigerians trapped in Sudan should know that their country will not abandon them. You’d all return home safely.”
