Sudan Unrest: Millions trapped or fleeing as fighting continues

The intense fighting in Sudan has led to millions being trapped or fleeing.

The fighting between the Army of Sudan and the paramilitary force is entering a third week as ceasefire fails.

In spite of international pressure to maintain Sudan’s latest 72-hour ceasefire, this has not stayed as fresh strikes are being reported in parts of the capital Khartoum.

People in millions remain trapped in the capital, Khartoum where there are shortages of food, water, medicine, fuel as well as other necessities.

El Geneina, a city in Darfur, Western region of Sudan, violence is also reported to be particularly bad, where Militias are reported to have looted and set fire to markets.

The fighting started two weeks ago due to a bitter power strife between the Army of Sudan and the paramilitary force.
