The Red Devils’ first-half opener was bundled over the line by the onrushing Antony, who was quickest to react to Anthony Martial’s saved shot after being played through on goal by Bruno Fernandes.
Erik ten Hag’s men would have to wait until deep into the second half to double their lead, as Antony turned provider to set up Diogo Dalot, with the Portuguese full-back showing excellent composure to beat Keylor Navas between the sticks.
