‘Nigeria’s boxing champions’ victories bring to bare the true resilient spirit of Nigerians’ – Peter Obi to Joshua, Adesanya

Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State, has once again congratulated “Nigeria’s boxing champions”, Anthony Joshua and Israel Adesanya on their “latest victories”.

The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) said, Joshua and Adesanya’s victories “bring to bare the true resilient spirit of Nigerians”.

Anthony Joshua defeated Jermaine Franklin in their fight at the O2 Arena, London, England, with a unanimous points win.

Joshua, in his post-fight comments, said, he wasn’t really satisfied despite clinching victory over Franklin because he was unable to knockout his American opponent.

Israel Adesanya recorded a beautiful victory over Alex Pereira at the UFC 287 in Miami.

The Nigerian-born New Zealand Martial Artist and kickboxer, knocked out his Brazilian opponent to reclaim the UFC middleweight championship belt.

Obi said, “both champions persevered in their efforts and bounced back to reclaim their crowns”, further saying, “Nigeria’s morning will surely come, if we do not give up”.
