The popular Oja Tuntun market in the Baboko area of Ilorin in Kwara State, has been destroyed by fire.

The fire which started on the night of Thursday gutted six (6) lockup shops out of 1,070 in the market.
Hassan Adekunle, Spokesperson of the Kwar Fire Service, blamed the fire mishap on the carelessness of one of the shop owners.
Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, advised people to be safe during the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations “especially with their cooking materials while preparing their food”.
