‘Eternal City’ Rome is 2,776 year old

Rome is the capital city of Italy. It is the most populated commune in the country and the third most populous city in the European Union (EU) by population within city limits.

Vatican City tagged “The Smallest Country in the world” is an independent country within the boundaries of the City of Rome.

Due to its geographical location, Rome is often called the city of Seven Hills as well as the “Eternal City”.

The City’s professional football club, AS Roma wrote: “Happy Birthday, Rome.


“The Eternal City is 2,776 years old today!”
