The Sultan, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has announced tomorrow, Friday 21 April, 2023 as Eid Al Fitr in Nigeria, according to Bashir Ahmad.

Bashir Ahmad, who is the Special Assistant on Digital Communication to President Muhammadu Buhari, also said, the announcement was made after the “sighting of the new Shawwal crescent”.
Ahmad said: “Tomorrow, Friday, 21st of April, 2023 is Eid al-Fitr in Nigeria, as the Sultan, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, announced the sighting of the new Shawwal crescent. May Allah accept all our ibadah and prayers. Ameen!”
