Thomas Tuchel, Bayern Munich new head coach has said, “a win is the ideal preparation” when the Bavarians lock horns with Freiburg in the DFB Pokal.

Bayern Munich will welcome Freiburg in a DFB Pokal match tomorrow, Tuesday 4 April, 2023.
The German football manager was recently appointed as head coach of the Bundesliga reigning kings – he replaced Julian Nagelsmann who was sacked for “up-and-down performances”, as disclosed by the club’s Sporting Director, Hasan Salihamidzic.
Tuchel’s first game in charge as Bayern Munich manager ended in a beautiful win for the former Chelsea manager. He hosted Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena and clinched a 4-2 triumph over the Back and Yellow.
Ahead of the encounter against Freiburg, Tuchel confidently said: “I want us to set a benchmark for ourselves. Whoever I put my trust in has to repay it. Now it’s about producing the best possible performance tomorrow. A win is the ideal preparation for the next match.”
