The NDE is the “agency for job creation”, under the supervision of Festus Keyamo as mandated by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said, “Buhari administration has put the nation on sure footing and it is only a matter of time before we begin to see the gains”.
Keyamo said: “The data of job creation by the National Directorate of Employment, (NDE) the agency for job creation directly under my supervision as mandated by Mr. President.
“Out of sheer ignorance, many Nigerians point to the unemployment rate in Nigeria and heap it on the Ministry of Labour, whereas the statistics relate to all levels of governments in Nigeria, from Federal to local governments, cutting across all political parties.
“In addition, the inadequacies in that sector is the accumulation of the failure of successive governments to invest in infrastructure that would have prepared the economy for our now burgeoning population.
“However, the Buhari administration has put the nation on sure footing in that regard and it is only a matter of time before we begin to see the gains in that regard.”
