Chelsea lost on a 4-0 aggregate to Real Madrid in the quarter final of the Uefa Champions League 2022/23.
In the first-leg at the Santiago Bernabeu in Spain, Real Madrid discomfited Chelsea 2-0, the Los Blancos went ahead to clinch another 2-0 victory over the Blues right inside the Stamford Bridge in the second leg.
Germany international, Havertz said, the loss to Carlo Ancelotti’s side is “hard to put into words”.
However, the German expressed gratitude to fans for their “support”.
Havertz, in his post-match comments, said: “Difficult to put into words how it feels after last night. We’ll learn from these hard moments. It’s been a difficult season but we’ll come back from this.
“Thank you for the support last night!”
