The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) made this statement during his interaction “with students and book lovers from around Anambra State, at the 3 Years Remembrance of His Majesty Eze Prof. Chukwuemeka Ike in Awka.”
Obi said: “Today, I had the pleasure of interacting with students and book lovers from around Anambra State, at the 3 Years Remembrance of His Majesty Eze Prof. Chukwuemeka Ike in Awka.
“Late Prof. Chukwuemeka Ike was a prolific writer, seasoned administrator and an accomplished teacher. As an award winning literary icon, his contributions to the literary profession in Nigeria and Africa remains celebrated to this day.
“Even as the traditional ruler of his community, he continued to love and promote education. I encouraged the students to continue to take their education more seriously as it will open many doors for them in life.
“Education, as I have always maintained, remains the best investment any nation can make for the citizens.”
