New Zealand fighter, Adesanya, born in Lagos State, Nigeria, discomfited Brazilian Alex Pereira by knocking him out in the second round of the fight.
Adesanya successfully reclaimed his middleweight championship belt following his knockout victory.
Tinubu, President-elect of Nigeria, congratulated Adesnaya, adding “we did not stop believing in him”.
