Ramadan 2023: ‘A time for reflection, spiritual growth, and renewal of faith’ – Governor Abiodun

Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has said “Ramadan period is a time for reflection, spiritual growth, and renewal of faith”, further saying it allows “all Islamic Faithful to shield themselves from sin through fasting”.

He said: “In this holy month of Ramadan, I would like to seize this opportunity to wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a very blessed and joyful Ramadan Kareem!


“The Ramadan period is a time for reflection, spiritual growth, and renewal of faith, thereby allowing all Islamic Faithful to shield themselves from sin through fasting.


“As we embark on this blessed journey, let us remember the true spirit of Ramadan and strive to be our best selves.


“May this month bring us closer to the Almighty Allah and instill in us the values of kindness, compassion, and generosity towards others. May our fast be accepted and our prayers answered. 


“Ramadan Kareem!”

Sa’ad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto, announced the holy month of Ramadan begins on Thursday 23 March after the crescent moon was sighted.
