The Governor stated the reason for the action, saying “our aim is to ensure an education system in tune with the demands of the 21st century and to improve the educational rating of Osun from the present 34th position”.

Governor Adeleke said: “We flagged off the distribution of instructional materials for use in Osun State secondary schools. As I said in my inaugural speech, our administration will launch reforms with direct focus on improvement of learning environment and outcome.


“Our aim is to ensure an education system in tune with the demands of the 21st century and to improve the educational rating of Osun from the present 34th position. We are ready to infuse technology to aid learning, to assist teachers and to improve the learning environment.


“It was also an opportunity to engage stakeholders from the Education Ministry in the State, Nigerian Union of Teachers, Association of Nigerian Principals of Public Secondary Schools and other representatives on our plans to restore the state’s education glory.”
