In a unanimous decision by a three-member panel of justices, led by Justice Mohammed Lawal, the Abuja Court held that the appeal Ademola Adeleke lodged to challenge his sack by the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal was deserving of commendation.

The sum of ₦500,000 was held by the Court, as fine against the All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as its candidate, Adegboyega Oyetola.
