Nagelsmann Sacking: ‘Huge honor to sign a contract with Bayern Munich’ – Thomas Tuchel

Newly appointed head coach of the Bavarians, Thomas Tuchel, said, it is “a huge honour to be able to sign a contract with Bayern Munich”.

Thomas Tuchel has been confirmed as successor to sacked Julian Nagelsmann by Bayern Munich.

Nagelsmann was sacked following “up-and-down performances” as disclosed by Bayern Munich Sporting Director, Hasan Salihamidzic via a press statement.

In his acceptance speech, Tuchel expressed gratitude to “Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic for their trust”.

Tuchel said: “It’s a huge honour to be able to sign a contract with FC Bayern. I’d like to thank Oliver Kahn, Hasan Salihamidžić, Herbert Hainer and Uli Hoeneß  for their trust. Even if I’ve worked abroad for a while, you become even more aware of the club’s importance.


“The DNA of this club is commitment. It’s all about winning at Bayern, as well as the way you win. The squad here is one of the best and most talented in Europe, and I am excited to be able to work together with this squad.”
