Just as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is on the move to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) which was used for the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday 25 February, 2023, the former Anambra State Governor has advised Nigerians to go ahead and reconfigure their own BVAS.
INEC will reconfigure BVAS so as to get it ready for the 2023 Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections which has been rescheduled to take place on Saturday 18 March, 2023. It was initially scheduled to take place on Saturday 11 March, 2023.
Peter Obi said in his very short message to Nigerians: “As the reconfiguration of BVAS has become our watchword today, I humbly appeal to Nigerians that it’s time to Reconfigure our own BVAS “BASIC VALUES ACCEPTABLE TO SOCIETY” Have a nice Sunday and may God Almighty bless Nigeria.”
