Keyamo made this statement following the the unexpected outcome of the 2023 Governorship Election conducted on Saturday 18 March, 2023 in the state of a particular “pastor” based in Abuja.

He said the “pastor” possesses a “large congregation in Abuja”, however, he refused to support a “Rev. Father” who is a Governorship candidate in the state, and went ahead to support the “opponent” of the “Rev. Father”, who is also a Governorship candidate in the same state.

Eventually, the “Rev. Father” clinched victory in the 2023 Governorship Election in the state defeating this “opponent” – the choice of the “Pastor”.

This led Keyamo to ask “Are they serving different Gods?”

Festus Keyamo tweeted: “It is unfortunate that some Pastors have used God’s name to mislead their adherents for selfish reasons. A Pastor with a large congregation in Abuja supported the opponent of a Rev. Father for Gov in his State & the Rev. Father triumphed over him. Are they serving different Gods?”
