Saturday 11 March, 2023 was the initial date for the 2023 Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections, however, it has been rescheduled to Saturday 18 March, 2023, seven-day postponement from the initial date.
The rescheduling of the Governorship and State Assembly elections as well as the reason(s) for the “necessary decision” by Nigeria’s Electoral Body was made known via a Press Release from INEC signed by Barrister Festus Okoye, National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee.
