Turkey-Syria Earthquake: Newborn and mother saved after four days in rubble

In Southern Turkey, a beautiful rescue has been made, where a newborn baby and his mother have been successfully pulled out from ruins of collapsed structures, almost four days after the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria.

Yagiz, the 10-day-old baby was rescued from a destroyed building in the Province of Hatay.

A video revealed the baby being taken out carefully in a thermal blanket overnight, and then carried to an ambulance.

The child’s mother was brought out on a stretcher.

This has been described as miraculous by local media.

Amid cold weather, hopes of finding many more survivors are lessening four days after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Southern Turkey and Northern Syria on Monday.
